
Jonah Crab Rolls
Ingredients
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ½ tsp grated lemon zest
- ½ tbsp lemon juice
- 4 drops hot sauce (optional)
- ½ tsp Old Bay seasoning (or salt and black pepper to taste)
- 1 tbsp shallot, finely chopped
- ½ tsp chives (fresh or freeze-dried)
- ¼ cup celery, finely chopped
- 8 oz jumbo lump Jonah crab meat, drained
- 2 top-sliced hot dog buns (or New England-style buns if available)
- Chopped Italian parsley, fresh chives, or fresh dill for garnish
- Sprinkle of Old Bay for garnish (optional)

Prepare the Dressing:
In a medium bowl, mix the mayonnaise, lemon zest, lemon juice, hot sauce, Old Bay seasoning, shallots, chives, and celery until well combined. -
Fold in the Crab Meat:
Gently fold in the Jonah crab meat, being careful not to break up the lumps too much. Mix until the crab is evenly coated with the dressing. -
Toast the Buns:
Lightly butter the hot dog buns and toast them in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown and slightly crispy. -
Assemble the Rolls:
Divide the crab mixture evenly between the toasted buns. -
Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley, chives, or dill, and add a dash of Old Bay seasoning if desired. -
