Our scallops are “dry,” meaning they’ve never been treated with any chemical preservatives, so you get that pure, natural flavor. In contrast, “wet” scallops are treated with sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP), which can change their taste and texture, while also adding up to 30% more water weight. We flash-freeze our scallops to lock in that unbeatable freshness and flavor—just like they came straight off the boat.

Scallops are harvested from three main areas: Georges Bank, the Nantucket Lightship Area in the Great South Channel (at the western end of Georges Bank), and off the Delmarva Peninsula in the mid-Atlantic. These regions are fished on a rotational basis to ensure sustainability.

For added convenience, you can even schedule your seafood delivery by selecting your preferred date at checkout.
All frozen packages come securely packed in a reusable box with dry ice and gel ice packs to keep everything in perfect condition. While dry ice isn’t harmful to your food (since CO2 is naturally in the air), it’s extremely cold and can cause burns, so please handle it with gloves.
When your package arrives, be sure to open it and inspect everything to make sure it arrived safely. If there are any issues, just reach out to our Customer Service Team with photos on the day of delivery, and we’ll be happy to help.
