Jonah Crab Lemon Garlic Chili Pasta

  • 250g pasta (approx. half a box)
  • 2 cup picked Jonah crab meat
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Zest & juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Splash of white wine
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup pasta water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Prepare Crab Mixture: In a large pan, add olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic, fennel seeds, and red pepper flakes. Sauté until fragrant. Next, pour in a splash of white wine and let it simmer for a minute.
  3. Add Lemon and Jonah Crab: Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and picked Jonah crab meat. Cook for a few minutes.
  4. Creamy Blend: Add chopped parsley, butter, and cream to the pan. Reduce heat and let simmer.
  5. Combine Pasta and Crab Mixture: Toss the cooked pasta into the pan, ensuring it’s evenly coated with the flavorful sauce. Add reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
