When ready to eat, place the crab in the refrigerator until it is completely thawed (approximately 16-24 hours) before preparing. For quick thawing, place the frozen package in cool water for 20 to 30 minutes until the contents become flexible. It is important not to rush the thawing process, as doing so can cause the crab to lose more moisture, resulting in a rubbery consistency. Once thawed, use or refrigerate immediately. For the best quality, consume within 5 days after it has thawed.
